Well I am not much for writing articles, but I can say that the match went well according to the people who participated. We ended up with 20 shooters in all. As for the weather it looked mighty bad on the way out to the range; it was raining and I even stopped at Wal-Mart for a raincoat at 6:30 in the morning. During the shooter's meeting it was raining and looked pretty bleak, but as soon as we were done with the meeting the rain stopped. We started the match and for the rest of the day we did not have another drop of rain. When our final 2 shooters were on their Last stage it started to sprinkle. When they finished the rain came. We had our awards ceremony under the picnic shelter at the range. The rain cooperated with us but it sure was cold. I am sure if we could have we would have stuffed our revolvers down our shorts after a run to stay warm. Rules state, though, that you can not break the 180!
I particularly want to thank Smith & Wesson for their sponsorship, and Competitive Edge Dynamics who supplied all the timers for this match at no cost so we could score the whole match with the same timers.
Keep them in the X-zone
