We did it again! An increase in shooters for the fourth straight year, up to 387 total. As per past matches, the Limited group predominated, providing 240 scores to the 147 for Open division. For the fourth year in a row, Vic Pickett took best Open score, although he needed two attempts to best Aussies Andrew Moss (2nd) and Paul Kennedy (3rd). Mike Ballard improved from 3rd last year to top Limited with Troy Regan less than a second behind and Andrew Allcock in 3rd place.
Our Australian friends continue to gain on the world, increasing their participation to over 40%. This year's match also saw three shooters from Switzerland, a first-time event. Some clubs took photos and they are posted here.
A hearty "Thank you" to all the shooters for participating. A special thanks to Vic Pickett, Paul Kennedy, Kerry Standifer and Cedric Yoshimura for designing and submitting the stages. Thanks also to Rich Richards for helping to set up the stage designs and checking the scoresheets. And, of course, thanks to the individual club directors for getting the stage scores sorted and submitted.
Unless we hear otherwise, the plan is to repeat the Postal Match in 2005. If you have a stage concept, an idea, a recommendation or any other feedback on the match, please send me a note. You can also download match results as a zipped Excel file.
Keep shooting those A's,
